What an eventful day...
Firstly, I took this photo of my bow tie for the day with a tall ship the background which is very close to my flat.
Secondly, I decided to take advantage of the weather and went for a stroll around central London. The eggs that have been distributed around town are very popular. Lots of people photographing them and follow different trails. Good idea and works well now the weather is getting better :)

Thirdly, I went to Carnaby Street and found this wonderful shop called "Peckham Rye". I got chatting to the owner Martin who was extremely friendly. After complimenting me on my bow tie I told him that I was wearing them for charity he whipped out his own donation and gave it to me! Brilliant.
We chatted a bit longer and I decided to buy one of his bow ties and conversation turned to what I do for a living. I explained that I was a Secondary School Teacher and Martin swiftly informed me that I was entitled to an extra 20% off! I thought he was just making it all up but there was a sign on the wall confirming it! :) He also threw a free pair of socks. Definitely great customer service!
So I left Martin and his fine store and then wandered down Carnaby St. Whilst looking at my gps a man with a nice big SLR camera came up to me and asked if he could take my photograph for his blog on "Street Fashion". Having never been called "Street" or "Fashionable" I was in shock (however it could be an article on his site about being a fashion disasters...we will wait and see :) Anyway I let him and he is going to email me when he posts it on his blog. Plain weird.
What a brilliant day! Perhaps I should thank the power of the bow!
